Positive affirmations are statements, quotes, and sayings. They can shift your mindset and help create mental clarity with limiting beliefs and negativity.
As I mentioned above, you can use affirmations to help with self-esteem and confidence but they can also help to ease things like stress and anxiety; overcome bad habits and help with gratitude, develop a growth mindset, and motivate you to accomplish goals.
Whilst there are many areas of life that you can use positive affirmations for, these printable cards that I've created are specifically targeted toward women for self-love and confidence. The sayings I've used in them are ones that have resonated with me personally, particularly as a mother.
Before getting into the practicalities of printing your cards, let me explain a little about how to use your positive affirmations. I have to admit, I felt a little silly repeating these quotes to myself at first.
The idea is that if you are consistent in repeating these sayings to yourself, you can train your brain in the way that you think. Scientific studies indicate that these affirmations activate the reward centers in your brain with repetition being vital to the benefits of saying your affirmations.
There is no right or wrong way to use positive affirmations and it can be done in a way that resonates with you personally. Finding a time that works best for you in your daily routine is a great place to start. For many people, this may be first thing in the morning whilst it is quiet. Take a moment to relax, breathe and focus.
Repeat your affirmation several times out loud or in your head if you prefer. You can shuffle your cards and select one each day or go with whichever speaks to you at the time. If a particular card jumps out at you, it's generally for good reason.
Keep your card in a place you will see often such as the mirror or fridge door. Whilst you won't see the benefits immediately, be open to moments throughout the day that confirms your affirmation.
If you like, you can also set the scene and activate your senses with a candle, essential oils, incense, and the like. Journalling or doodling your affirmations is also a great way to help you gain clarity.
These printable affirmation cards for women come in a feminine watercolor design including flowers and leaves. There are 12 different quotes/statements each on 5×7″ cards.
I would recommend printing to a high-quality, smooth cardstock. Ideally around 220 – 270gsm A4 / 80 – 100lb for 8.5×11″. However, if you are printing at home, keep in mind your printer's capabilities and whether or not it can handle printing to heavier cardstock. You may need to go for something slightly lighter.
To get the most out of your printable affirmation cards, repeat them consistently and keep them easy and fun (however that may look to you). Use your own intuition on what feels best.
