Simple Party DIY: Printable Birthday Banner {Aqua Blue}
Did you know the freebies library has 7 different printable Birthday banner signs?! Well, if we include my gold Olive Leaf banner then that's a total of 8 banners (and counting!). Today's post is focused on my aqua blue sign.

I really dislike saying something would be suitable for a boy, girl, lady etc since it's not always the case. Whilst this aqua party sign would be perfect for many boys' Birthday parties, it's also for everyone else! Lovers of blue! You can use the banner as party decor and hang it above a table; at the party entrance; on a stage or dance floor; outdoors between trees or even include it as part of a photo backdrop for your partygoers.
I like to use free Birthday printables such as this one to make a fuss of my kids. As much as they'd love to be spoilt every Birthday with a lovely big party, that just isn't going to happen! So instead, I make their day special by placing decor like this in their bedrooms or anywhere I know they will be for the day. This is a great way to make someone's day special even when they still have to do boring everyday things such as going to work or to school. So go ahead and decorate your coworker's desk with a fun blue printable Birthday banner, it'll make them smile for sure!

Inclusions with your printable Birthday banner
Designed with simple patterns, this is what makes these signs so versatile and suitable for many people. It's easy to just choose a colour that fits in with many different party themes. No crazy or strange patterns distracting from your overall party theme.
The banner flags are aqua blue and white, in a mix of polka dot and angled stripe patterns. Plus some solid colour blocks to balance the patterns out.
In total, your aqua printable Birthday banner includes 18 flags, each one measuring 5” x 7”. They spell out the word “HAPPY BIRTHDAY!”. Plus each of the 5 flag designs comes blank, without any letters. You will be downloading a 9-page PDF file that prints two flags per page.
Don't forget that you can also combine your blue banner with any of the other colours within the printables library too!
Printing and assembling your banner
Once you have downloaded your aqua banner pdf, be sure to save it to your computer. You can print it at home or at your favourite print service. Be sure to look over the PDF file to make sure you want to print all of the flags. Some of the blank designs are at the front of the file and others are at the back. If you do not want these then save yourself some ink and paper by excluding them from your print job.
The paper selection will vary depending on the location of your banner placement. For most applications I would suggest printing on cardstock however if you are simply sticking to a wall as I did here for my son's Dog Pawty, then a lighter-weight paper would work just fine.
If you are choosing to print onto cardstock, be sure that your printer is capable of printing onto that thickness. Sometimes smaller printers have a hard time with heavier cards. I would suggest starting with something similar to this 8.5×11 80lb cardstock or this A4 220gsm cardstock.
Once you have your flags printed, you can cut them either with scissors or a paper trimmer/guillotine. As I mentioned above, I used blue-tac to stick the flags to the wall for my son's last party. But I've also threaded and hung banners between hooks and across tables. Simply punch holes into the top corners of each banner flag and thread your string through them.
