Right now I’m obsessed with all kinds of backdrop ideas for a party. From balloons to streamers, foliage, garlands and installations! This fun Birthday decor can be so versatile.They’re a fantastic focal point and often used as photo backdrops or for photo booths, buffet tables or simply to add to the party theme and atmosphere. Sometimes these displays can be great to hide something you don’t want your guests to see.

Below I’ve listed some of my favourite backdrop ideas for parties. I’ve focused mostly on DIY backdrops or those that can easily be reproduced. I love maximum impact with minimum effort because let’s face it… there are so many things that go into a party. There’s absolutely no time to waste. This sparkle backdrop would look amazing behind just about anything! You could also add your own balloon installation or something similar to it. I found these kits in a range of colours over on Etsy from Decor and Boutique
There are so many hoop tutorials out there (yup, I have one also!). I’ve seen them made from hula hoops too which are a great idea on a large scale. These hoops were decorated with eucalyptus and flowers then attached to the wall. You could also hang them. Can you see the sweet subtle theme of this party? Courtney from 12th and White created this Mini Mouse party for her daughter (hence the wreaths in the shape of mouse ears).
