I can't believe I'd forgotten about these cute Easter treat ideas. I was reorganising the files on my computer when I stumbled upon them, all alone and unshared. Then I looked at the data on the images… I made these 7 years ago, back in 2015!

Easter is such a fun time of year. Aside from the chocolate and the kids full of excitement for their egg hunts, I love the spring colour palette and decorating with it. Here in Australia, it's technically Autumn however we are still getting some beautiful sunny weather. We've usually suffered through heatwaves for the last couple of months and the Easter break is that last chance to get in some mild warm weather before winter hits. Everyone loves getting away over this mini-break.

Now, onto the Easter treats that I made. I was so impressed with myself for how easy it was to decorate and display these with that added springtime feel. And with only a couple of extra touches no less!

Easter Treat Ideas #1: Easy Easter Cake Pops

I kept these cake pops simple, by sticking to the traditional pastel spring colour palette. Just some coordinating sprinkles and fun icing.

This was the first time I'd made cake pops and I was obsessing over how I was going to display them. I used a glass container that I had left from my wedding candy buffet. Raiding my craft supplies, I found 4 different green pattern washi tapes. Then I cut and stuck “blades” of grass to the outside of the container. To help the sticks of the cake pops to stay, I put a few small and medium-sized Easter eggs inside.

Using a white round plate I placed some green shredded paper on it for more grass. The glass container of cake pops went on top of the plate. Then I laid the rest of my chocolate Easter eggs around the plate.

Easter Treat Ideas #2: Spring Flower Cupcakes

I found some cute pastel cupcake wraps at the local discount store. They're a little difficult to see in the pictures. But I combined some green polka dot and blue striped ones with some pretty pink floral wrappers. I iced the cupcakes with pink and white icing (nothing fancy, since I'm definitely not a fancy baker).

I cut a heap of pink and white marshmallows in half for my flower petals. They were easy enough to stick to the icing, I alternated so the white flowers were on pink icing and the pink flowers on white icing. I found the yellow candy-coated chocolate pieces in the baking section of my supermarket. I put several of these in the centre of the flower.

Too easy! To tie these in with the cake pops and the overall springtime Easter table decor, I placed more of the green shredded paper on a plate. Then I laid the cupcakes on their bed of grass.

The flowers remind me of Frangipanis. I would love to try adding some additional colour to the inside of the petals for more of that Frangipani feel!

Adding Easter Fun to Your Table

Given this post has been 7 years in the making, these photographs aren't really too bad. Aside from some weird focusing (I hope I didn't make you dizzy?!). I'm glad I managed to find a few to show you. I just wished I'd got some pictures of the actual table!

I love how spring feels, everything new, in bloom and reborn again. So although we don't actually get that with our Easter here, most of us are pretty appreciative of the last days of our beautiful weather. Although dealing with the sugar crashes after those Easter egg hunts is not something I look forward to!
