In a family of six children, it can be difficult to come up with unique Mother's Day gift ideas every year. Unless you're me of course because, I am no doubt, the favourite child. However, I am an overachiever and the cheeky rivalry between my siblings and I can be fierce. Particularly with one or two of them (you know who you are).

My absolute favourite place to shop for my mum is Etsy. If I'm being honest, it's got to be one of my favourite places to shop for everyone. In today's post, I'll be focusing on the plethora of glorious gift ideas for mum available on the platform.

Buying Unique Handmade Gifts

Before we get into it, perhaps you have been living under a rock and don't know what (or who) Etsy is? Perhaps you're of the male variety and have heard the term thrown around by your wife or daughters? Okay, that is definitely an exaggeration. Etsy is definitely not just for us lady folk. More and more men are making their way over to the marketplace. So if you haven't already, Mother's Day is the perfect time to get some shopping done for that special lady in your life.

Etsy is an online marketplace for unique and creative items. These items are made, curated and collected by their sellers. You could be buying from anywhere in the world, typically from a solo or small business owner. Etsy's sellers are makers, crafters, artists, mums, grandmothers and so much more. I'm one of them too! You'll find such a diverse range of products from vintage to handmade to custom. There's jewellery, home decor, clothing, toys, art, collectables and more.

When you buy from Etsy, you really are supporting small businesses that often don't have the ability to reach such an audience to grow their business. Speaking from my own experience, I am so incredibly grateful for every sale that I get. I get so much from each of those sales that I like to support others in the same way too.
