For me as a mum, Mother's Day crafts for kids are exactly what the day is all about. I'm so grateful for all of the amazing crafts my boys bring home from school for me. I'm not looking forward to when they become too old for these things!
Unless you have a friend, partner or family member who will initiate Mother's Day crafts with your kids, I'll admit that it seems odd to do it for yourself. However, from an early age, teaching children the importance of respecting, appreciating and acknowledging how much their parents and grandparents do for them is an incredibly valuable lesson. Small things like putting time and effort into creating a special gift are just one of the earlier, more basic ways to do this. And this is how I justify having my kids make gifts for me!
We also do like to create things for my Mum, AKA Nanny. If you know a mother or grandmother who would appreciate a small human creative genius making them a unique gift, then this article is for you. And hey, if you're the mother or grandmother of that creative genius looking for a little appreciation then I say, go for it. Get those kids crafting!
I've called these Mother's Day crafts but many of the ideas below can be adapted as gifts to make for grandmothers. None of the links below are affiliate links, they're just here for your inspiration! So let's get into it.

I hope you found some great ideas for Mother's Day crafts for kids to make. I know I said it before but I just love receiving a handcrafted gift from my boys. Being able to look at them as the years pass is something I enjoy. I already look back on the previous year's crafty gift to see how their style and skills have changed.
Perhaps as my children get older they won't need me to instigate the handmade Mother's Day gifts so much and they will just do it themselves?! Luckily for me though, I also have my amazing readers here on the blog that the kids and I get to create for. Just another wonderful reason to get crafty!
Comment below to let me know what the most treasured creation is that you've received from your children or grandchildren. I'd love to know.
