If you’re looking for ways to maximize your crafting space and keep your Cricut blades close by, this Cricut tool organizer is the perfect solution.
Earlier in the year I wrote an article about Cricut storage ideas. I’m not a veteran Cricut user, but I’m not new to it either.
It’s been about a year and a half since I began my Cricut journey. I know, it’s shocking how far I’ve come in the crafting world without a Cricut machine!
But I waited patiently. As a solo parent, a Cricut machine just wasn’t something I could afford at the time.
My patience paid off! I began my journey and collected various Cricut blades, accessories and supplies as I went.
It was getting hard to keep track of everything. We all know how much crafters like to collect (hoard) things!
I was in desperate need of storage ideas. So I began my research looking for new and creative ways to help. I figured if this was something I needed, then surely my beloved audience needed it too?!
Then I found something that caught my eye…

In short…
Cricut Tool Organizer Foam Inserts
When I say that this new organizer caught my eye… it was quite literal, with it’s the sparkly glitter! But mostly, it provides a solution to a problem I had. It doesn’t take up any space in my craft room given the inserts are placed inside your Cricut machine.
These handmade foam inserts are crafted specifically for your Maker or Maker 3. Don’t have a Maker? There are other options! I’ll list them below in the variations heading.
Organize your blades and tools right in the storage compartment tray of your Cricut machine:
- Small insert to hold the foil transfer tool and 3 tips
- Medium insert holds the housings plus 4 tips and fabric, fine point and/or deep point blade housing
- Large insert can hold all of the Cricut tools
These are not made on a 3D printer (as I first thought!). They are handmade with detail for perfect alignment. As noted in the product listing, the high-quality foam used actually makes these inserts more flexible when inserting/removing your tools compared to 3D-printed inserts.

My dilemma was which color combination to choose. My Maker is a pretty soft blue so the blue glitter would look amazing against it. I love gold, I think that would look pretty awesome.
However, I am a pink girl through and through. This meant I had to choose the rose gold glitter on pink foam for my inserts. I’m pretty sure it was the combination of the words ‘rose’ and ‘gold’ that convinced me!
I do have to mention the packaging too. It had sweet thank you stickers and a lovely personalized note, all wrapped in nice tissue paper.
Way back when I had my scrapbooking supplies store, I always put effort into small details like that. It’s not necessary but why not give the recipient an extra smile that day?
You’ll notice my pretty Cricut tool organizer foam insert still has space for more blades and tools. Currently, half of my craft room is in storage while we look for a new home (it’s a long process, don’t ask how it’s going haha).
I’m sure I have a couple of tools in storage but still not enough to fill my foam inserts… yet. It’s a good reason to find some new projects and make a trip to the craft store for more!

Tool Storage Variations
I love the selection of glitter colors these Cricut tool organizers come in, they brighten my crafting!
You can also get different inserts. You might only want the main insert; that’s available on its own. You can also order your Cricut tool organizer with less space for blades and space for your hand tools (like the picture below).

Why not add a quick reference sticker or two? I don’t have these but they are handy cheat sheets. Stick them to the underside of your Cricut’s storage compartment lid.
Use the Mat Sticker to help you quickly identify which mat to use with your material.
The Blade and Tool Sticker has different types of tools such as the Foil Transfer Tool, Rotary Blade, Perforation Blade and more. The images make it quick and easy for you to identify the right tool for the job!
If you don’t have a Cricut Maker, insert and portable storage options are available for the Joy, Joy xtra, Explore Air 2 and Explore 3:

Supporting Real Women & Their Families
Before writing this post, I spoke to Conny, the creator of these Cricut tool organizers and owner of Our Creativity Spot. I think it’s nice to know the personal story behind small businesses. I know I always prefer to buy and support hardworking folk!
Conny runs her store from Texas. Her Mom has also opened a store in Germany with some of their best sellers. So if you’re based in Europe, you can save on shipping fees by going to their Germany-based store, Our Creativity Spot DE.
The family really does get involved with every hand-crafted item. Conny’s husband works on their shop’s woodworking products. Her young children love to help take parcels to the post office or simply watch the Cricut work wonders.
Can you relate to that? Do your kids love Cricut crafting time too?
My littlest always gets so excited at the prospect of a new Cricut project! He loves to help line things up, press buttons and all that. He’ll often walk into my craft room and ask when we’re making our next project (according to him I can’t make enough!).

Why I Love My New Cricut Tool Organizer
Okay, so here it is, short and sweet:
- It sparkles and it’s shiny. But not just that…
- It’s pink! Okay, so these are just aesthetic non-practical reasons but we’re all visual creatures (especially crafters!). The prettiness is a bonus. Did I mention there are multiple color variations you can choose from (just in case pink isn’t your thing)?
- The foam layers are put together really well and they insert easily into my Cricut.
- I love having my tools close to hand, plus I’m less likely to misplace them. I find I’m able to switch between projects and blades quickly too.
- Being a Cricut crafter is not a cheap hobby! Keeping my blades nice and secure protects them and keeps them sharper for longer.
A couple of important things for you to consider if you’re looking to get yourself a glittery new Cricut blade holder insert:
- Your tools won’t fit if you leave the plastic end caps on
- There are other insert options depending on how you like to organize your tools
- You can get inserts for other Cricut machines and portable storage
- Quick reference stickers are available in English, German and Spanish
- If you’re in Europe, save on shipping by shopping with their Germany-based store Our Creativity Spot DE

Final Thoughts
I remember when beaded jewelry making was all the rage… I think I made 4 pairs of earrings and just loved collecting and sorting all of the pretty beads after that!
It took me a while to realize I wasn’t all that into the craft. But I loved sorting and looking at the different and colorful beads. Have you ever done the same?
I have taken on so many different crafts over the years. I find collecting and organizing all of the supplies is one of my most favorite things to do. Sometimes more than the creating (depending on the craft)!
My new foam Cricut tool organizer isn’t just pretty to look at but is also practical. I’ve found a worthy home for my blades and tools. Now I’ll now be filling the empty spots with more tools!

This article was so relatable in regards to you taking on so many different crafts throughout the years and then learning it’s more about the love of keeping things organized. I have just recently found this out about myself and it makes so much sense to me now. Also, I’m glad I’m not the only one. Thank you for sharing.
Thanks for your comment Caitlyn! I’m glad I put it out there and you can relate. As much as I want to love all of the crafts, sometimes it’s just about a love of organized beautiful things x
