My Pinterest account is always hard at work looking for fun workspaces! Be it an office, craft room or some sort of creative space (I find the line between those is often blurred for me). Being able to work in a space that I love makes it so much easier to get into work. And for those creatives out there, it just makes you feel so good when you’re inspired by a space that’s yours.
Right now I’m overhauling my own office/craft room and getting some great ideas. Check out these cool, colourful spaces for your own inspiration.
This playful office has a beautifully fresh take on fun. I love the gold elements, that patterned wall and the rattan chair. Isn’t the shape gorgeous?!
How lucky is Geraldine, she gets two creative spaces! This image of a wall gallery over her desk has been her most popular post on Instagram. And with good reason. Everything works here, seemingly effortless colour and style combined with the different shapes and lines.
Did you say you wanted bright, colourful and fun workspaces? Love the mix of bright colours and patterns in this creative workspace from Kara.
Looking for some inspiration that’s a little different? The colour, pattern and greenery in this workspace has a gorgeous eclectic boho vibe.
Oh Happy Day has not one but four workspaces for you to look at. Rather than design one space for everyone in the office, they created desks to suit each individual. Here are my two favourites, you should check out their others too!
This round-up wouldn’t be complete without referencing Queen of Colourful DIY, Rachel from The Crafted Life. Spray painting the shelving brackets was a very cute touch.
Unexpected elements to a room such as this bold print wallpaper create an instant point of interest. There’s no forgetting this space anytime soon! Pairing the patterned wall with the neon light takes the fun level right up there. I really think I need a neon sign too.
Colourful inspiration from Alyssa. A great way to bring some fun into a room when you might not have a big budget or are perhaps in a rental. I love this as I also like to change things out by taping my fave pics, photos (and just anything inspirational) with some washi tape.
Designer Claire Zinnecker renovates her home to include a vintage yet modern and fun workspace. The rug really makes this room and being able to see out the window helps with creativity and motivation (although in my experience it also helps a little with distraction too!).
That beautiful wallpaper certainly packs a punch in Elisha’s cute little work station.
A sophisticated way to create fun through colour. I love the pink colour on the walls of Kelly’s office, I’m thinking of something similar for my pegboard. By far my fave element though is that gorgeous colourful floor rug!
I’m ready to put my feet up in this office! In this room, I love the splashes of gorgeous colour and pattern along with the whimsy prints and elements.
If it’s pink then it wins every time with me! I love the texture in this room – crushed velvet, chunky knits and faux fur. Teamed with some metallic shine for a super luxe feel.
A colourful, bold and fun workspace doesn’t need to have colour splashed about all over the place. This white backdrop with colourful artwork, bright rug and coordinating whimsy decor brings it home.
This is such a super fun, creative space although I do wonder if any work does get done?! I’m also feeling a little hungry now.
Toni has allowed her colourful baking supplies to inject fun into her workspace. I love the IKEA cabinet hack, painting the drawers to help bring it all together.
I’ve loved looking at these bold and fun workspaces for inspo for my own office/craft room. Many of these rooms are those of various creatives. They have the most gorgeous spaces to work from. And why wouldn’t they? Four boring walls don’t do too much to get the creative juices going, particularly when it’s your job to do so.
I’ve whipped up some colourful, fun wall art that you can download from the Freebies Library to get started on your own bold, inspired workspace. Don’t forget to check out the whole Library as I have other prints that would look great too!
