As I make more costumes for my own children, I keep adding to this list. We're up to 37 costumes however I always have more waiting to go up on the blog! I'll be sure to update this post again. For inspirational purposes, be sure to keep in mind that many of these costumes would suit babies, boys, girls and even adults.

As Kimbo from A Girl and a Glue Gun describes this spider-infestation costume… it's for those who don't really want to dress up yet still have to! She creates the spiders and prints them onto temporary tattoo paper. I think my kids will be covered in temporary tattoos now I know that this is a thing! Cat in the Hat Costume
This is another quick and easy DIY costume, you may even have most of it around the house already. If you don't already have a hat for your cat, you could easily make one from some card. Originally found on Seeker of Happiness.

Now this would suit me to a tee. So simple and easy plus kids have heaps of stuffed toys laying around! Michelle at Crafty Morning gives a quick rundown on how she did it.

Easy Homemade Bingo (from Bluey) Costume
I made this Bingo costume for my son for Book Week. It was an easy one to whip up at home. The mask was key and is also available (for free) in a Bluey version. The kids may not get it but so many parents will! This Ace Ventura costume is actually easy to recreate. The key is in the striped pants. If you can’t find some then you could make your own. This DIY Dog Man costume is one of my creations and it's great for older boys. It was incredibly easy and last minute. Most of the items I had laying around the house and the other items are fairly easy to get hold of. You'll find my tutorial on how I made a Dog Man costume here.
