This is such a sweet way to tell someone you love them. Typically it may apply to a parent referring to the love they have for a child.

However, it works for any love, particularly those relationships that were formed unexpectedly. This loving quote was from my article 42 of the Loveliest Valentine’s Day Food Ideas.

You are the sky. Everything else is just the weather.

To me, this quote says that despite all of the complexities, distractions and many changing things in life, their person (sky) is the one unchanging constant in their life.

Such a sweet saying for a parent, this quote was included in the Mother’s Day stitched craft cards I made with my son. A little gratitude and appreciation go a long way for any parent.

These words would also suit a mentor, teacher or just somebody who has helped you through hard times.

This is a deeply personal and powerful expression of gratitude and acknowledgment of the impact that a special person can have on shaping who you have become.

As mothers, we put far too much pressure on ourselves to get everything right. Nobody is ever perfect at anything.

Oh geez, I’m going to have to try hard to keep this one short and sweet! This is the perfect quote for signs in your home, on the wall, or even as a daily affirmation.

We’re all so busy trying to do all of the things that we tend to run on empty. Us mothers are guilty of this all the time!

Multitasking is not productive (I know, I was outraged when I heard this concept).

The funny thing about this quote is that I used it in my post, free watercolor printable affirmation cards for women.

But when looking into it for this article, I noticed that a lot of people use it in another way, “when things change inside you, things change around you”.

Honestly, I can relate to both and they’re not that different. For me, I’m a big believer in first changing things around you and those that you spend your time with.

You’re right, this is a bit of a long one if you’re hoping to use this as a quote for signs. But I love it so. You could shorten it to something like “grow in your natural environment, plant yourself in rich soil”.

For me, this is telling you to surround yourself with people who will help and encourage you. Anyone that doesn’t, isn’t good for you.

Whilst it’s good to remember that it’s the thought that counts with gifting, more than that these words relate to something bigger in life.
